Parents worry that children aren't doing enough to progress academically. Others are concerned that excessive schoolwork takes away from the joys of childhood. We've found that striking a balance involves nurturing curiosity and a love for learning. This means a less rigid divide between 'work' and 'play'. With our tutors, students want an extra 5 minutes to ask another question. Homework is framed as an opportunity to showcase new ideas and understanding. So when parents ask us "are they doing enough?", we look at what and how learning is currently happening.

RESEARCH: CURIOSITY
Re-discover curiosity
In one NASA study on 1,600 children, 98% of 5 year olds scored highly for curiosity and innovative thinking. By 15 years of age, only 12% do. Some argue that school kills this creativity. Others blame social media and devices.
In either case, parents and educators have an active role in nurturing curiosity. And when they do, it positively impacts academic performance, wellbeing, and social emotional skills.

ONE-TO-ONE AND SMALL GROUP TUTORING
How does it work?
First, a subject specialist works through questions with your child. You receive a short written report: what we found, what we would do about it, and a plan. One-to-one lessons and small mock exam groups run online and in person in Dubai.

Early UCAS deadline approaching
University applications to Oxbridge, medicine, dentistry and veterinary courses close on 15 October. Admissions tests and interviews follow over the next two months.
